A major health hiccup made Claryce realize that life is too short not to enjoy one’s passions. This “hiccup” opened the door to Claryce’s love for painting. And, so began her adventures testing various mediums before landing on silk and watercolor painting.
Luckily, Claryce found an incredible mentor, Sandra Kay Johnson. Sandra not only taught her the basic techniques of painting, but revealed how to allow the mediums greatest assets (their flowing and blending abilities) to enrich one’s artwork, thus sanctioning them to take on a life of their own.
Still early in her development stages as an artist, Claryce has yet to land on one signature style. Currently, she combines various graphic design techniques, strong colors and interesting angles to grab and hold the viewers eye.
