Claryce describes herself as a contemporary artist who loves combining styles of formalism and conceptual art with strong graphic design in her paintings to create a variety of visual experiences ranging from calming, soothing, or bold feelings.  While living on the Central Coast of California provides ample opportunities for Plein Air painting, she is just as happy creating in a studio or sketching as a passenger in a car. 

Although her favorite mediums are watercolors and silk paintings, she is enjoying exploring painting with acrylics.  Claryce’s inspirations come from nature; she is head over heels in love with horses, birds and flowers.  Each person’s unique vision and purpose for the artwork they are purchasing drives Claryce to create her artwork so that it can be enjoyed as wall art or wearables or everyday objects.

Claryce received her education from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo in Graphic Design.  But promptly after graduation, she was swept up in a successful career of marketing and advertising.  Most recently, Claryce has returned to her roots – art and painting.  She is fascinated by the texture, color and forms of everyday life.  And has an endless list of ideas to paint so she invites you to check back regularly to see her added pieces.
